Westlaw: A Legal Powerhouse, Kinda Messy?
Okay, so Westlaw, right? It’s HUGE. A total game changer for legal peeps, researchers, even students. Seriously, it’s got everything. Laws, cases, the whole shebang. I mean, 3.5 million pages of US laws alone! That’s insane. Plus, like, forty million international ones? My head’s spinning.
Finding stuff is surprisingly easy, tho. Keyword searches, surname searches… It’s all there. Real-time alerts too! That’s a lifesaver, honestly. I almost missed a crucial case last week, thank goodness for those alerts.
They got tutorials, online courses, the works. Even Excel tools! Who knew legal research could be so… spreadsheet-y? It’s actually pretty slick. The dashboards are customizable, which is nice. Keeps you on top of things.
Getting started is a breeze. Sign up, do the tutorial, boom. You’re in. Pricing’s customizable too, which is good. Students get discounts, which is awesome. They even have accessibility features, which is great to see.
Reviews? Mostly positive. People love it. Trustpilot gives it 4.5 stars. Seems legit. It’s available in, like, a bunch of countries. US, UK, Canada, Australia… Multiple languages too. Pretty global, huh?
Pricing varies, obviously. Check their website. They got tons of plans. Something for everyone, hopefully. They constantly update it too, new stuff all the time. Keep an eye on their blog and social media.
Westlaw’s a beast. A powerful, slightly overwhelming beast. But a beast nonetheless. If you’re in law, you need this. Seriously. It’s a must-have. I’m telling ya.
